I am having +6 years of post qualification experience in Accounts payable & Receivable Finance domain. And I am planning to come Singapore by visit visa to search job. Kindly let me know whether it is advisable to come Singapore for Job search directly,Whether Singapore market is Good for Finance jobs?? Whether companies in Singapore will consider person like me,who doesn’t have a PR or atleast consider if I am direct in person to attend interview. Looking forward. . Take care all. From what I can tell… Singapore have many jobs, but not for foreigners, it will be difficult to get jobs, even if you get it, you will face discrimination in the workplace. And the accommodation rates are very high in Singapore, one of the most expensive cities in the world, the pay you get sometimes cannot even pay the rents.

July 31, 2012 at 12:26 amI’d say not now. Singapore is known for liberal immigration policy but no country can forever open the doors to foreigners. We’ve done it and the population is increased a lot and affecting the quality of life so Gov is now taking measures to control the inflow.
For accounts job it’s more important to have the local experience and expertise with the country standards (though the basic concepts are the same). Even if you’ve 6+ years of exp I’d say better not to venture without an offer in hand.
